Hypnosis

What Is Hypnosis?

Mainstream culture portrays hypnosis as a mysterious phenomenon. Contrary to popular belief, it is a valuable tool grounded in science.

Hypnosis is a natural, altered state of consciousness that lies between being awake and asleep. The goal of hypnosis is to access the subconscious mind, where it is easier to release limiting beliefs, promote healing, cultivate wellness, and discover your true essence.

The subconscious (unconscious) mind lies beneath your immediate awareness.  Beliefs, memories, and emotions are stored here. They have a profound influence on your behavior and well-being even though you may not know they exist. However, you must first bypass the critical factor of the conscious (mental, logical) mind in order to access them.

The critical factor serves as the analytical filter between the conscious and subconscious minds. It evaluates incoming information based on your existing beliefs, and will reject any ideas that contradict these beliefs. Ever repeat an affirmation with little to no success? There is a good chance the affirmation contradicts a core belief. As a result, the critical factor flags the statement as false. You cannot create a belief that feels untrue.

Hypnosis works by setting aside the critical factor. Inducing a state of deep relaxation and focused attention places the conscious filter at ease, allowing you to access the subconscious mind in order to uncover the wisdom and insight you need to achieve your goals.

What Is Transpersonal Hypnotherapy?

The term transpersonal means "beyond the personal", and so this unique, client-centered style of hypnosis transcends the confines of the individual ego.

The human experience is not limited to psychology alone. Transpersonal hypnotherapy embodies this principle. It does not consider the mind a separate, mechanical entity nor does it focus solely on improving mental health. Rather, it addresses the four core pillars of our being - the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual self.

You will explore the broader dimensions of your existence when engaging in this holistic approach to hypnosis. The deep inner wisdom and insight gained from this experience can nurture the integration of the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual self. True personal growth and transformation occur when all four elements are in balance.
